Playoff Scenarios: The Broncs are currently 4-5, tied for fourth in the Great West Conference with Chicago State and one game back of NJIT (5-4). The Broncs can still finish as high as third place if they win today and Chicago State beats NJIT (2:00 p.m.). In that event, each team would be 2-2 against the other two teams (UTPA is 2-0 against Chicago State and 0-2 against NJIT, Chicago State would be 2-0 against NJIT and 0-2 against UTPA, and NJIT would be 2-0 against UTPA and 0-2 against Chicago State). The second tiebreaker is record against GWC opponents in order of finish. All three teams went 0-2 against North Dakota and 1-1 against Utah Valley. In this scenario, all three teams would also be 2-0 against Houston Baptist. The third tiebreaker is RPI. The Broncs are ranked at 264 while NJIT is 323 and Chicago State is 331, meaning the Broncs would take the tiebreaker and play sixth-seeded Houston Baptist in the first round. If NJIT beats Chicago State, then the Broncs will be the fourth seed, regardless of the outcome of this game, and face fifth-seeded Chicago State. If Chicago State beats NJIT and the Broncs lose, then the Broncs will be the fifth seed and face fourth-seeded NJIT. If Chicago State and the Broncs both lose, then the Broncs will be the fourth seed and Chicago State will be the fifth seed.
